Ultimate Test Tour
Test the latest equipment
The Ultimate Test Tour is an exhibition open to professionals and the public that brings together brands big and small to showcase their latest gear and equipment for snow sports. All types of models are available for testing and there is guidance available from mountain guides and pro riders. Access to the edxhibition is free of charge - take advantage of this one-off opportunity to talk to the experts!
In addition to the testing, you can expect workshops, parties, music, drinking and dancing.

Pro/Am Slope Style Ski Competition

The organisers will try to reschedule the event for later in the season.
The Verbier Ride is one of the leading freeskiing competitions in the world, incorporating a Skier Cross discipline which has become a recognized X-Games qualifier event, and a Slope Style event which attracts many of Europe’s top freeskiing athletes. The competition takes place in a specially designed course within the La Chaux snow park (Neipark 1936).

Freeride World Tour event, end March
Part of the Freeride World Tour, the Extreme Verbier event is for the extreme freeride skiers and snowboarders. Rendez-vous at the Col des Gentianes to watch 24 of the world’s best freeride skiers and snowboarders as they compete on the imposing north face of the Bec des Rosses during this prestigious freeriding contest.

XSpeed Ski Open Race
Final of the Speed Skiing World Championship, April
Come watch some of the world’s top speed skiers as they fly down Mont Fort’s steep slope in the XSpeed Ski Open Race finals. The track starts at 3330m and finishes at 2900m, meaning that competitors hurtle down 880m of piste at speeds of more than 200km per hour!

Verbier High Five by Carlsberg
Snowsports competitions, April
The Verbier High Five is a competition open to skiers, snowboarders and telemarkers which encompasses 5 disciplines: giant slalom, boarder cross, moguls, parallel slalom and a mock triathlon. Participants have the opportunity to measure themselves against professional athletes. An animated après ski seals the deal.

Ultime Session
End of ski season party, end April
End the season on a high at the Ultimate Party closing day event! Some of the highlights will include big air displays, a waterslide contest and new equipment to test. Down in resort the party continues with many bars playing live music and entertainment and shops hosting special activities.

Cross du Velan
Mountain Race
This race starts in the little village of Bourg St Pierre and involves a vertical ascent of 1010 metres over a distance of 6.8 km. The race finishes at Velan, at an altitude of 2642 metres. The race began in 1977 and was dedicated to two local guides, both of whom lost their lives in the mountains.

Trail Verbier St Bernard Ultra Run
Every year, Verbier hosts this endurance race which attracts athletes from all over the world, where the competitors race distances of 29, 61 or 110 kilometres over incredibly challenging terrain through the heights of Verbier.

Verbier Beach Volley
International competition, July
The beach atmosphere is brought to the mountains during the Verbier Beach Volley weekend, staged in the central car park of Verbier. The event features renowned national and international teams, as well as entertainments, stalls and a great atmosphere!

Verbier Festival
Classical music festival
The Verbier Festival proposes an outstanding programme of concerts featuring the biggest names in classical music today, and offers an unprecedented combination of Master Classes and encounters with festival artists.
The Verbier Festival Discovery offers educational activities for children as well as conferences for adults whilst the Verbier Fest’Off enlivens Verbier with its daily program of concerts and shows.
The festival includes Amateur Chamber Music Week - an opportunity for talented amateur musicians to indulge in their passion for playing chamber music, while enjoying the beautiful Swiss alpine scenery.

Trophee des Combins
This is one of the oldest races in the Alps, dating back to 1965. The course takes runners from Fionnay to the Panossiere hut - a distance of 7.8 km. The course record currently stands at 52 minutes and 56 seconds. All are welcome (children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult).

Grands Concours Hippique
International Horse Show, mid August
Europe’s best horse riders compete in this prestigious equestrian event which takes place in the Perrin parking lots by the Sports Center. The infrastructure, which includes an impressive arena, is built to a world class standard attracting both amateur and professional riders.

Grand Raid Verbier-Grimentz
Legendary mountain bike race, end August
Crossing 6 valleys for a total distance of 121kms and a positive vertical gain of 5430m, the Grand Raid is effectively the longest single leg mountain bike race in the world!
More than four thousand participants test their strength and endurance as they set off bright and early from Verbier’s Central Place, racing against the clock through six “cut-off” check points strategically situated along the course which eventually takes them all the way to Grimentz, later that day.
