Holiday crowds ebb away : 8th March 2012Fresher, quieter pistes at the end of the holidays

The snow that came down at the beginning of the week has freshened everything up nicely and more winter-like conditions have returned to the valley. Colder temperatures and firmer pistes have made a very welcome come back.
 
The avalanche risk is fairly low too; 2/5. Most of the off piste itineraries are pretty badly bumped up now though so there isn't much of a reason to go out into the off piste.

Spring like conditions in Verbier : 29th February 2012Sunshine all over the four valleys

The sun has returned here in Verbier and we have had very Spring like conditions. Although the pistes can get busy as the day goes on the slopes are not too crowded and early in the morning and during lunch they are actually very quiet.
