Winter Ski Season Dates for Verbier Ski Lifts
2012/2013
Certain lifts will open on weekends only throughout November, depending on snow conditions. These are most likely to be the Chable-Verbier and the Medran 1 gondolas, the Lac de Vaux 1 chairlift and the Funitel, giving access to the Ruinettes sector.
The official opening weekend of the Verbier winter season is scheduled for 1st December 2012, when the last of the lifts will open and the entire ski area will be in full swing. A full Verbier lift timetable can be found here.
The official closing date for the Verbier winter season is 28th April 2013, however the lower slopes of Bruson and the sunny south facing slopes of Savoleyres/La Tzoumaz can close a few weeks earlier if snow conditions deteriorate.
Summer Season Dates for Verbier Lifts
2013
The Verbier lift system is open, in part, throughout the summer giving access to many beautiful hikes and bike rides. The first lift to open is Les Ruinettes, which operates on weekends only from 8th June to 30th June 2013 and then runs daily from 6th July to 16th September 2013.
It is also the last lift to close, ending its daily service late September but continuing to run at weekends (depending on the weather) from 21st Septemeber to 27th October 2013.
The other summer lifts run mainly from early July until the last weekend of August, with the Les Ruinettes to Mont Fort connections opening slightly later. Please see the Verbier Summer Lift Schedule for more details of opening dates and times.
