The Freeride World Tour kicked off last Saturday January 23rd at Vallnord-Arcalís in Andorra with an amazing start of the season for Estelle Balet who stood highest on the podium.

Estelle Balet proved her experience despite her youth (she is only 21 years old!) by choosing a very creative line which gave her 70 points from the judges.

It was also a great start for nearby Chamonix riders with Sascha Hamm taking the top spot in men's snowboard, while newbie Camille Armand stood up on the snowboard podium in third place. Chamonix skiers were also well represented by Léo Slemett who got fifth place in Andorra.

If you missed their runs, you can check the videos to see how Estelle Balet, Sacha Hamm and Camille Armand, tackled the nearly 400m run with 40 degrees from the 2680m Coste Negre face in Vallnord-Arcalís.

61 athletes took place in this first stage of the Freeride World Tour. The next stop will take them to Verbier for the final event of the competition on April 1st.
