Col des Montets due to shut tonight
Snowfall & windy weather force closure

Recent wintery weather and tonight’s expected snowfall has urged road authorities to shut the Col des Montets tonight from 9.00pm.

The col which provides the link between France Switzerland will be closed tonight and possibly longer as a wintery storm is due to set in for the next few days.
At the same time the footpaths of the upper valley will also be gradually closed during the day, as well as cross-country ski trails that are most exposed to avalanches.
