Verbier Snow Report: 2nd December 2015

Blue skies are set to continue with more sunshine forecast for the next few days, so you can enjoy great visibility on the ideally situated South facing collection of runs.

Low winds of around 5mph are anticipated, barely a little movement in the tree tops, and temperatures are due to rise to 6-8 degrees centigrade in the afternoons.

Take a pause from your turns to look out for our local Valais wild life, a mountain goat has been spotted on the high peaks this week. You may be lucky enough to see this rare daytime sight.

And for Apres-ski back in the resort I hear you wondering…. If you fancy a pint in a traditional pub setting, Pub Mont Fort is just a few hundred metres from the Medran hub. Or a cosy drink and wood oven pizza can be enjoyed across the road at Fer a Cheval. If you are heading down the hill to Place Central, shake it up with one of T Bar’s cocktails.

For the gastronomic food lovers amongst us, work up an appetite on the slopes and then indulge this week in the Haute Cuisine experience at the W Verbier Hotel. The Haute Cuisine experience runs from the 2nd to the 5th of December and features 9 Michelin starred chefs from around the world. The W is situated at Place Blanche in central Verbier.

On route to the W Verbier, you could drop your skis or board off at the neighbouring Mountain Air store for a service. Mountain Air also offers a wide selection of rental kit, locker hire and changing facilities.

For those looking for a more active evening, the Centre Sportif is open until 8pm. A short walk downhill from the centre or take one of the complimentary resort buses.

We are super excited to hear that more lifts are likely to open this weekend, offering access to a greater expanse of fresh snow, newly groomed runs and stunning scenery.
