Winter is here! Thanks to the recent snowfalls, which have brought over 50cm of snow to the slopes of Verbier since Tuesday, the ski area is opening early this season.

This Saturday, November 9th 2019, pistes in the Lac des Vaux area will be open to skiers, with more sections to be available as snow conditions improve. Until December 1st, lifts will only run during the weekends.

This Saturday, there'll be four lifts open. Three of them will only transport skiers to the open pistes but the runs will be shut. These are the Le Châble-Verbier cable car (08:40-17:00), the Verbier-Les Ruinettes cable car (08:45-16:15) and the Funispace (08:55-16:15). The Lac des Vaux 1 chairlift will be running from 09:05 to 16:15 and will give access to two open pistes, a blue and a red. Also welcoming skiers will be the mountain restaurants Médran Café and L'Olympique.

One-day ski passes will be on sale for CHF44, with discounts for junior and senior skiers (CHF37) as well as children (CHF22). To purchase them, head to the ski pass offices in Médran (open 09:00-16:30 during the week and 08:30-16:30 on weekends) and Le Châble (open every weekend from 08:30 to 16:30).

Bon ski!
