The snow has returned to Verbier this morning, with over 10cm falling last night and with it still coming down, it’s possible as much as 20cm might settle by tomorrow morning.
This addition takes the snowbase at the mid station to nearly two metres, and even more at the top of the mountain. With another 30cm predicted for Wednesday and Thursday, we’re hopeful that the off piste skiing will return to it’s former glory, as there’s still a crusty layer underneath this fresh dump. Another snowfall and the conditions off piste will be fantastic. Conditions on piste were decent before the snowfall, although below 2000m it has been very slushy. Once the piste bashers get a chance to groom this recent snow, the pistes will be excellent once again.
