If you fancy a job in the Alps this winter now is the time to start applying and with over 1800 positions currently vacant there's never been a better time to get a job in the mountains.

The Daily Mirror has been looking into the option of working in the ski industry as part of it's "Get Britain Working" campaign and they've found that there's 1815 jobs out there for snow seekers.

Although we're right in the middle of summer all the large travel firms, tour operators and chalet companies have begun their recruitment drives; Crystal Ski, part of the TUI company that also owns Thomson and First Choice, is looking for 800 people to fill 35 different types of role from reps to chalet maids, in eight countries and 131 resorts. Check out the Crystal website for more information.

Skibound needs 165 staff, while Flexiski has 40 vacancies.
Another company to apply directly to is Powder Byrne which recruits 200 people every year to cover both winter and summer seasons.
There are so many different jobs available in the mountains from chalet hosting to accountancy, barman to hotel manager and almost all of them will mean you can have a few hours a day up on the slopes skiing.
