What's new in Verbier for this winter?

A sneaky peek at new lifts and apres bars opening soon

Summer may be barely out of the way but we are already getting excited about the upcoming winter.

Swanky Verbier nightspot Coco Club has been bought by a new group and will be relaunched as a new bar called Public - we'll be sure to try it out and let you know what we think!

A quick scoot around the mountains reveals that there is a new lift being built at the moment which will replace the old Mantzenet and La Combe lifts below 1936. It will allow skiers to bypass the Medran area and come up either the La Rouge lift or by bus to Carrefour and then ski across to the new high-speed lift which will take skiers up to the same point as the slow La Combe lift used to. Skiers can then ski down to Ruinettes or the 6 man express chair to Attelas. It is half-built at the moment and should apparently be good to go by Christmas.
