Conditions are surprisingly good in Verbier this week, considering the high temperatures and lack of snow. The pistes are perfectly groomed in the morning, becoming soft with springlike snow by midday.
The sun continues to beat down this week, with temperatures hitting 14C in town. Some of the snow on south facing slopes has begun to melt, exposing some grassy patches. Off piste is slightly crusty, and not worth exploring too much. The base at the mid station is still 123cm deep however, and over two meters at the top. The bluebird conditions are set to continue through the weekend and next week, with some possible snow on the longterm forecast for early march.
