Changeable weather in the week ahead in Verbier

featured in Snow report Author European Snowsport, Verbier Reporter Updated

The sunny streak has been broken, as we woke up to cloudy weather in Verbier today.

The next few days are forecast to be changeable with a mix of sun, clouds and some precipitation. Today we are forecast clouds which should clear up a little in the afternoon.

The snow is in great spring conditions, fantastic groomed pistes in the mornings which get heavier in the afternoons as the temperature warms up. You can still ski down to town, the snow is just a bit heavier below the Mayentzet lift. The pistes have been relatively quiet the last few weeks so they have kept in very good conditions, even though we have not had much new snow recently. Fingers crossed that the forecast of snow on Friday and Sunday come true!

All of the lifts are still open, the only itinerary that is closed in from Bruson La Cot down to Le Chable. All links through the 4 Valleys are also still open, so take a day to go across the full domain. The avalanche danger is at 1 out of 5 today which is low.

If you are looking for activities to do off the slopes, don’t forget to check out the Centre Sportif for swimming and ice skating, or the Bagnes Museum which has exhibitions in several locations throughout the commune of Bagnes. The museum has a pass which is valid for a week so you can access the museum and all of the Heritage sites for just 5chf.
