Bisse du Levron

A gentle introduction to hiking in Verbier

With a relatively small altitude gain this walk is an ideal starting place for those who wish to complete more routes around Verbier.

Discover the path of sculptures on the last leg of the Bisse du Levron (Levron Waterway), near the place known as La Marlénaz. All the sculptures were made using a chainsaw by former ski champion, William Besse.

What to bring

This route can be found on SwissTopo National maps: 1325 (Sembrancher) and 1326 (Rosablanche).

Directions

Starting from Les Ruinettes, go to the start of the Bisse du Levron which is located above the arrival of the gondola. Halfway along this family walk through the pastures lie a number of mountain restaurants (Namasté, Marmotte or Marlénaz ) offering a welcome break. Don’t miss a chance to admire the the “Chute du Bisse“ at the end of your walk. The return either follows La Marlénaz (Marlénaz – Sonalon – Verbier 1h30), or goes via Le Château ( Château – Chevil - lard – Patier 1h15).
