Verbier Art Summit
The Verbier Art Summit connects thought leaders to key figures in the art world. A platform for discourse, innovation and change in a non-transactional context, where original ideas about art and society are stimulated, created and shared with a wide audience. The different perspectives of the keynote speakers make the Summit a unique multidisciplinary event. Some of the event is by invitation only but members of the general public can attend the art talks for free. Dates & details.
Freeride World Tour Final
This has become the make or break leg of the FWT, and it's when the champions for the current year get crowned. Competitors in snowboarding and skiing compete in a selection of different countries each year, chosen for their great off piste terrain. As the last stop in the tour Verbier is always a great event to watch. Dates & details.
Verbier High Five by Carlsberg
The Verbier High Five gives members of the public a chance to compete against the best athletes of ski racing in giant slalom, mini KL (flying Kilometre), skicross and trampoline. Half-serious, half-fun, it is often the public who rank among the best in this unconventional competition! The festive party is held at Chalet Carlsberg and is accompanied by concerts and parties. Verbier Impulse Festival
Verbier hosts this music and sports-oriented weekend event in April, as a range of skiing competitions are complemented by music concerts on the pistes. Dates & details.
Cross du Velan
This is four events in one, with the longest race, the 45 km, counting as a qualifier for the UTMB (Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc). One of the races is just for kids and the rest are for adults and they all take place over the course of 1 day. Dates & details.

Trail Verbier St Bernard
This is a trail running competition, well five in one go really, of differing lengths, with one for children. Runners from all over the world take in some of the breathtaking mountain scenery whilst moving from point to point. Dates & details.
Swiss National Day (Kermesse)
The 1st of August every year sees the Swiss go wild and party hard all around the country. Expect fireworks displays large and small, concerts in the open air and a lot of celebrating. Neighbouring country folk often pop over the border to join in the fun! Dates & details.
Grands Concours Hippique
This is a 10 day equestrian event held in Verbier every year, where local champions and International level riders compete. Watch some of the best show jumpers in the world. Dates & details.
This mountain bike race takes some serious effort from its competitors, with over 5000m of climbing and 121 km course length. It sets off from the centre of Verbier and sees the riders cross 6 valleys to get to the finish line - definitely not one for the inexperienced! Dates & details.
Trophee des Combins
This trail running race takes place early in the month and incorporates two races, one of 7.8km and one of 21.4km around the Corbassière glacier. Anyone can enter and children can take part too as long as they're accompanied by an adult. Dates & details.
Thousands of motorbike fans and fans of scantily clad ladies flock to Verbier in early September for the biggest expo of all things motorbike for miles around. Expect exhibition riding, parties, FMX stunts, live music, demonstrations, lots of leather & lots of burn outs! Dates & details.

This is a big event in the Swiss motorsports calendar and is held in Martigny. International rally drivers are drawn to the event as well the top names in Swiss driving. Dates & details.
