About the Summer Lift System in Verbier

If you're looking for winter prices see Ski Pass Prices; or winter Ski Lift Guide for information about the ski lifts. For details about the Summer Lift System, read on...

From mid-May to the end of October, you can take the lifts from La Chable to Verbier centre and then onwards into the 4 Valleys area. The lift timetable is a little complicated so have your holiday dates in mind when you take a look at the lift opening dates & times in the link below. You can take mountain bikes on the lifts with relative ease and animals, babies and buggies are easily transported too.

Lifts will stop running in the case of high winds of bad weather but you can check on this before you head out by looking at the Live Lift Status

Summer Lift Pass Prices and the Summer Lift Pass Options are slightly different to winter - it is worth checking which lifts you can use before setting off. Paragliders also have access to a number of lifts throughout the summer.

    Lift access and restrictions

    Wheelchair access
All gondolas and cable cars from Le Châble to Verbier, Ruinettes and La Chaux are wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, this does not apply to the chairlifts.

    Mountain Bikes
Mountain bikes are permitted on all lifts, including La Chaux Express, Mont Fort 1 and Jumbo. Take a look at our guide to mountain biking in Verbier to find more information.

    Paragliding / Parapenting
Permitted on all lifts although take-off sites are situated at Ruinettes and Savoleyres. Find companies to go paragliding with in Verbier

    Dogs
Permitted on all lifts, must be kept on a lead and any mess must be cleaned up.

    Babies
It is not recommended to expose babies to sudden changes in altitude or temperature - if lift staff consider your child too young to travel on certain lifts they reserve the right to refuse you entry. The Mont Fort lifts climbs to an altitude of 3300m, you are advised not to take children under the age of 3 years old on the last section of this lift.
